10/10 for my first KC bbq. There were so many places to choose from in KC, but this place was perfect, and perfectly located. Plenty of street parking and away from the busy downtown. Pulled pork was delicious. The two meat/two sides combo, and a drink was the perfect size and price. I’d definitely skip the Mac and cheese as a side but the fries (with smoky ketchup), Cole slaw, and chili were all great.

Hawg Jaw never disappoints. I personally love the nachos loaded with pulled pork. Staff is always friendly and you don't have to wait long for the food. The portion sizes are not as large as some other places for the price, but I feel like the amount given is adequate for a standard meal. I will continue to visit when in the area.

Everything about this eatery is amazing from the staff to the food and the decor. I had the smoked corned beef and brisket, both were tender and flavorful. They make all their own sauces to put the finishing touch on your plate. The Mac and cheese was creamy with just the perfect bite of sharp cheese on top. The baked beans and burnt ends chili were so good I couldn't stop eating. We were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff that made us feel like family. I highly recommend a meal here anytime.

Wow, the brisket here was so good, juicy tender, and not too fatty. The fries were so crispy. Pulled pork was ok, not as good as the brisket. Fried pickles were great. Mac and cheese I would skip a little watery. Staff was very friendly, atmosphere was great. Spicy sauce was really solid. Was really surprised how few people were in there, if there was BBQ this good where you would never be able to find a seat.

1st time here. Was not sure when went in, if we ordered first then brought to a table. They have a Ramp to walk up to counter area to order your food. (or there is wooden stairs. Ordering area is set up high. Then the dining area is nestled down below I ordered lunch combo medium: I got brisket & turkey with baked beans. My husband got a lunch combo large: which is half pound of meat. He got brisket & burnt ends with sweet potatoes fries (there is a up charge for sweet potato) The burnt ends where really yummy, large in size, nice and tender, great flavor. Sweet potato fries were good, but very small paper holder ( you don't get enough to share) so beware. My brisket & turkey sandwich was truly good size (Medium Orders you can get 2 Meats). Both had great flavor, tender. They have different sauces at the tables to choice from & plastic silverwear are located there at the tables also. My favorite the baked beans(EVER) the smoke flavor, truly yummy. They do have extra juice on them. So beware you will need to beware not to wear them when eating them. Drink refills are up in the area, up the ramp area. To the right of where you order. They even have little towelettes at the table for your convenience. There are alot of wooden tables, kind like country, family tables, where you can sit down, and enjoy eating with big groups of family or friends, to enjoy a good meal together. I do feel prices would be closer to 18-21 on average per person. Do recommend them, yummy barbecue, they are a hidden jem. Everyone is friendly. It was Maria's birthday she was taking care of us.

This is a great BBQ spot within the metro. I had the brisket sandwich and it didn’t disappoint. There was a really nice wood flavor that was not too strong, but really, really good. The wood flavor was unique to anything I’ve had in KC. The burnt end chili was delicious as well. My wife ordered the sausage and she liked it too. We really enjoyed the food here. Great experience. They serve Pepsi products.

I had the brisket nachos and seasoned fries with the smoked ketchup. All was good except I would have preferred the cheese melted and warm. My dad and husband had the sampler and both said they enjoyed it.

I had the 2 meat combo with the sausage and pulled pork. Side of beans and mac and cheese. The sausage was okay. The pulled pork was really good. Lean and light The mac and cheese was very good and thick. The beans were really sweet, but great. Service was very good. Would not hesitate to come back
